Chiwonder specializes in Mandarin education across TK–12, college, and corporate training, with a strong focus on accredited high school programs.Our fully digital curriculum removes traditional learning barriers and provides efficient, standards-aligned Mandarin instruction. Through flexible online delivery, we expand access to accredited Mandarin coursework—giving students and schools more high-quality learning options beyond the classroom.

Accredited Courses Offered

Chiwonder delivers accredited Mandarin courses through established partner schools authorized to issue official high school transcripts.
UC A–G–approved coursework is granted by the partner school of record based on individual enrollment eligibility.

Chinese 1
Foundation-level Mandarin focusing on vocabulary, pronunciation, listening, reading, and basic writing.

Chinese 2
Expansion of daily-life vocabulary, sentence patterns, conversations, and grammar development.

Chinese 3
Intermediate Mandarin with longer readings, structured speaking, cultural topics, and written expression.

Chinese 3 Honors
Accelerated Chinese 3 course with increased rigor, extended readings, higher-level writing, and intensive speaking practice.

Chinese 4
Advanced reading, essay writing, authentic materials, discussions, and academic language use.

Chinese 4 Honors
Pre-AP level course with higher rigor, extended readings, advanced writing, and formal speaking practice.

AP Chinese Language & Culture (Accredited Course)
A fully accredited AP Chinese course with official grades and transcript issued through Holston Academy. Includes comprehensive instruction in listening, speaking, reading, writing, and cultural understanding.

AP Chinese Test Preparation (Non-Credit)
Focused AP exam preparation for students who are already enrolled in AP Chinese elsewhere or who do not need an accredited course. Emphasizes exam strategies, speaking practice, writing tasks, and full-length practice tests. No transcript issued.

Program Format

  • Live Online Instruction

    24 live, one-to-one online instructional sessions per full-year course, led by certified Mandarin teachers.

  • Coursework & Grading

    Assignments, assessments, and grades managed through Google Classroom with clear academic expectations.

  • Practice & Support

    Regular speaking practice, listening activities, written assignments, and instructor feedback throughout the course.

Accreditation & Official Transcripts

Chiwonder delivers accredited Mandarin instruction through partnerships with WASC-accredited schools that are authorized to issue official high school transcripts.

When applicable, UC A–G–recognized coursework is issued by the partner school of record based on the student’s enrollment pathway.

Official grades and transcripts are issued by the partner school in accordance with its accreditation and approval status. Partner school details and transcript eligibility are confirmed individually during enrollment.
