What This Program Is

ChiMigo’s TK–5 Mandarin program helps children build real communication confidence, not memorization.

Children learn Mandarin the same way they learn their first language:

  • through pictures

  • through real-life situations

  • through repeated sentence patterns

  • through play and interaction

No pressure. No drills. Just confidence.

Curriculum Structure (Clearly Designed)

This is a flexible 2-project system (48 books total).

Each project includes 24 books and can be used:

  • on its own

  • in any order

  • or together as a full 48-book journey

Book numbering restarts in each project, so families can start anywhere without confusion.

Project 1: Everyday Language Foundations (Books 1–24)

Children build confidence through familiar themes:

  • greetings and introductions

  • family and daily life

  • food, numbers, and routines

Language is learned through:

  • clear sentence patterns

  • repeated structures

  • visuals and storytelling

Project 2: Expanding Expression & Real Use (Books 1–24)

Children grow fluency by:

  • combining sentence patterns

  • asking and answering simple questions

  • describing objects, actions, and preferences

Project 2 deepens communication while keeping learning joyful.

Age Range

Designed for Ages 3–6 (TK–Grade 2)

This level focuses on:

  • listening comprehension

  • spoken confidence

  • natural sentence production

No tests.
No memorization.
Just real communication.

What Comes Next

After TK–Grade 2, learners are ready to:

  • expand vocabulary and sentence length

  • move into Grades 3–5 Mandarin

  • apply Mandarin in richer projects and conversations
